Making a Claim with Liddy's Employment Law Solicitors in Wakefiled
If you have a grievance at work, your employer should have a formal procedure in place to try to resolve the problem. If you are unsure about this, you will find more information on our Employment Law FAQs page.
If this fails to resolve your complaint or grievance, you will need to take legal advice from an experienced Employment Law Solicitor. If your grievance can't be resolved, you have the right to take your complaint to an Employment Tribunal.
The 89 Day Tribunal Claim Rule
In this situation, time is of the essence. By law, you must make your claim to the tribunal within 89 days (3 months less one day) of the date of the incident or from the date of dismissal.
If you have failed to reach an agreement with your employer, you must not delay in taking legal advice. Some unscrupulous employers deliberately spin out their internal grievance procedures, simply to prevent the employee from taking their case to a tribunal.
If you believe this has happened to you then please contact Arsalan Abbasi at Liddys Solicitors of Wakefield by telephone on 01924 780753 or by email to employmentlaw@liddys-solicitors.co.uk
