Dementia Patient’s Fall Leads to £3,000 Settlement

We were consulted by the daughter of a lady who suffered from dementia (the Claimant). She had received care from the Defendant Care Agency since June 2021. She suffered a fall at home. It took two days to raise the alarm. There were a number of failures in procedure, which led to a 2-day delay before the Claimant was discovered.

Liability was denied, but an offer was made in the sum of £3,000 to settle, which was accepted by the Defendant on 10th June 2024.
