Barnsley Ophthalmology department refuses to open for external review

Published: 11th November 2020

We have been consulted by nine clients over the last couple of years relating to clinical negligence at the Barnsley Ophthalmology department. Of those nine cases, three have settled successfully, and six are in their early stages. For all of those remaining cases, we have strong evidence from a consultant Ophthalmologist that Barnsley hospital was negligent.

Liddy’s Solicitors consultant Ophthalmologist has been so concerned at the standard of care that he has seen from the medical records, that he has asked for Barnsley hospital to open itself to an external review of its practices. Barnsley hospital however has refused.

So we have decided to let the public know.

If patients of Barnsley hospital feel that their treatment has been poor, they should telephone us on 01226 731314 for confidential advice in pursuing a clinical negligence claim.
