Care home fall claimant settles for £15,000

We acted for the family of an elderly lady who was being treated in a care home.

She was suffering from Alzheimer’s and so was confused and, was dizzy from medication. She fell in the lounge, fracturing her hip.

The claim for damages was brought on the basis that measures taken by the care home to minimise the risk of falls were inadequate.

The claim was defended but eventually settled before trial for £15,000.00.
