Knee surgery gone wrong – patient awarded £25,000

Published: 15th April 2019

We acted for a 60-year-old man against Rotherham Hospital who had a knee replacement operation.

The Hospital accidentally inserted the wrong type of plastic knee which inevitably caused the knee to be painful. The operation could have been redone, but that would inevitably lead to a worse result than if the mistake had not been made.

Liability was denied but the case eventually settled for £25,000.00.
