Supermarket worker injured by lorry

Published: 24th November 2021

We acted for a claimant who was using a forklift truck unload a lorry for a supermarket. Whilst he was inside the lorry, the rear doors slammed shut trapping him inside. In an attempt to open the doors, he wrenched his back.

His employers, the supermarket blamed the owners of the lorry because the door was faulty. The owners of the lorry blamed our client for damaging the lorry with his forklift truck.

The claimant said that the door had been broken a long time ago and should have been fixed. The claimant settled his claim for £16,000.
